I just got a look at a old drilling made by Lorentz Dieter with 16-16 and the 8* 58 1/2R.
Any information on these caliber?

Could be 8x57.5R Rubin. Rubin is same shape as 8x56R Hungerian. Can't find it under my G. Roth or DWM headstamp list. Could also be 8x58R. It has a base dia. of 0.438", case lenght of 2.3", and no neck. See page 53 CARTRIDGES FOR COLLECTORS VOL 1 BY Datig
