someone have used nosler accubond in 9,3x62 rifle?
i want use this bullet for wild boar in battue, with short shot. Is good for me? or the spitzer point is no good for me.

It depends on the terrain you will be hunting in. If its thick bush, with shots limited to 150yds and under you really dont need a boat tailed high B.C. bullet. If you expect shots to be long then i say use it as long as its accurate in your rifle.

For quick shots up close, that may be at bad angles, I would prefer tha 286gr Nosler Partition. It works great on perfect broadside shots too.

The 9.3X62 is essentially a rifle designed to shoot heavy, tough bullets at relatively close range...225 yds or less.It wacks game hard and is capable of taking any game taken with the 375 H&H. That said, why would you want a bullet with accubond characteristics? I have to agree with N E 450 NO.2 on this one and suggest the 286gr nosler or at a minimum a 250gr North Fork.

Was working up loads for a 9.3x62mm with those bullets in 2003-4. Very accurate (at 100 yards), better than the 286 grain Partition, but it's not the same bullet as the Partition and I really don't think it was designed to handle the same range of game. Nice bullet for North American game (except for elk, moose, and big bears) but not a bullet I would take to Africa.

sierra2 Have you tried the new Accubond? If I am ready his querry right, that is the bullet he is referring to, not the older 250gr Ballistic tip hunting bullet they recently dicontinued.

I have shot the Accubond 250gr in my ZG47 and so far it seems to be working very well. My rifle has a very long throat so I seat the bullet .050" short of the maximum length the magazine will allow.
Velocities have gotten up to 2700 so far.
As for accuraccy I cannot say yet as I was more focused on not shooting two chronographs in the same month. LOL
All the loads tested were printing inside two inches at 100 yards still, I will hazard a guess MOA will be easy to achieve once the chrony is out of the way. I hope to have more to offer after Easter weekend.

This will be my go to load for this rifle I hope, as well as a 320gr load, just for fun. :-)

It will work. The Partition will be better for you. The Accubond will probably damage more meat.

just curious; you don't see the AccuBond as potent elk, etc medicine? I would take the PT for bears, but that's just because I have an allergenic reaction to things trying to eat me....in advance.

Howdy again,

For Noel - I was using the then new in 2004 Olive tip 250 grain Ballistic Tip.

For Sharpshooter - my reasoning for dinging this bullet is the reputation the BTs have for blowing up. I'd hate to wound and not kill an elk, and we are clearing in agreement about critters with teeth and appetites for red meat.
