Re: Cooper, Sako or Kimber? in 7-08
I would make the choice between the Sako and the Kimber since unfortunately the Cooper is a single shot - I wish Cooper would make a centerfire repeater.
I'm a big fan of both Kimbers and Sako's. I have several of both.
If you want a classic style stock go with the Kimber. If you prefer Monte-Carlo got with Sako.
If you prefer a claw feed go with Kimber, if you prefer a removable magazine go with Sako. etc..
My best advice would be to pick the one that fits you the best.
On average of my 5 Kimbers and 9 Sako's I would say the the Sako's are a little more accurate, but Kimbers can be extremely accurate also.
If you like nice wood go with the Kimbers, sometimes you have to shop around a bit but sometimes you can find a really nice stick even on a standard model.
You can't really go wrong with either one the best decision would be to buy one or more of each!.........DJ

I wrestled with the same riddle this summer shopping for a new light mountain rifle. My decisions were further complicated by the fact that I only wanted stainless steel. I ended up with a Rem. 700 Ti in 7mm 08.

Man if Cooper would build repeaters - I think they would be like Harley - waiting lists - they are so damn scary accurate. But I am sure part of that is the single shot rigidity.
