Mcbrides Guns in Austin Texas. A stainless steel .358 STA with a wood stock. With iron sights. $1600.00.

I have a 270 featherweight that is stainless, and has a wood stock. I really like the way they look. Wish that was still standard.

mikethebear -- The Winchester custom shop made 58 of the special run .358 STA chambered Model 70's with stainless steel barrel for A-Square. They were produced about 4-5 years ago. I own one and it is a beautiful rifle, and shoots like you would only wish all of them would shoot. They appeared in the Winchester catalog at $3,500 plus if my memory serves me right. Sounds like a good price, on the one you found. [Wink]
