loud-n-boomerCan 7x64 dies be used to reload 7x65 ammo?
Can 7x64 dies be used to reload 7x65 ammo with satisfactory results?

KabluewyThe cartridges are the same, except rim / rimless.
Answer = yes, use the same dies, different shell holder.
My RCBS dies are listed as the same for either, and I use them that way.

Monastery-ForesterI do it since 20 years with a Bonanza Benchrest die, use shell holder No.4 or 26 (RCBS). No problem and the 7x64 die is cheaper than the 7x65R die!

Gerryl-n-b,
Kabluewy & M-F are spot-on and I'll join M-F's Cheap-o Club as well since I also use my 7x64 Brenneke Dies to reload 7x65R's. Like he said - there is a significant price difference between the two.....
I load for a friend's Drilling and we simply started by adjusting the F/L Sizer Die until the cartridges fit his chamber and went from there.
Used my Lyman (forget #) shellholder and the 7x64 dies. Noticed as we got the Dies set up that the F/L Die ended up just a smidget higher than for the 7x64's I'd been loading so there are some fine adjustments to be made.

loud-n-boomerThanks for the replies, since I already have the 7x64 dies, I was hoping that I could use them to reload 7x65R as well. I understand that the 7x65R and the 9.3x74R use the same shell holder.
