I voted Accubond and I could settle for the partition as well. Both tested in various mediums and in game pretty much equally. Accubonds got it on longer range shots though.

Well, I guess you know that at some point you will have to take all of them in and get them registered and stamped with serial numbers along with any brass you may have!

i voted for the partition. been using that bullet in a 270 win since 74' or so, from alaska to florida, and never had a problem. 150gr always worked on moose and elk, 130gr for everything else.

one bullet for the rest of my hunting life = nosler partition

Can't vote; no Hornady Interlok there. That's my prefered hunting bullet in standard cartridges of 2900 fps and below. Lilled lots of antelope, deer, elk, caribou, a couple bear and a Rocky Mountain BigHorn sheep with them and never had a problem.

Partition for me. Steenbok to Buffalo, always worked well.

Accubonds for the last two years for everything. So far....no complaints.

from the looks of things it seems Nosler pretty much owns the bullet business.....and I might add; they earned it.

Not that other bullets aren't good.....just that folks seem to be high on Nosler.....

I'm a Hornady fan.....but there several white tipped bullets here and a few partitions too.

I chose the Hornady interbonds but is appears that they are not that popular with this crowd. They are basically a little tougher ballistic tip similar to the accubond in terminal performance. The Accubonds are interchangeable IMO.

Actually Elk shouldn't have been included with deer and antelope. The reason we have different bullets is so we can taylor our loads for the specific game. Anyone just using partitions on everything is missing out on better performance opportunities. It's kind of like driving a hot rod mustang in the summer and switching to a 4x4 in the winter. You could drive the 4x4 all year long but there are going to be times when it really is overkill.

My cabinets are full of red box's but have had better accuracy from the Nosler tipped bullets. Not to say the red box stuff is bad, I’ve just had better groups from the Nosler bullets and that means the Hornady Interlocks that I purchased heavily a couple years ago have never met hide, meat, and bone. That’s to bad I got a couple hundred 139’s and 154’s in 7mm I want to see in action some day.

If you are looking for a good bullet for all three animals, it would generally have to be a Nosler Partition. However, I agree with the statement that under 2900 fps, a Hornady Interloc is a great bullet. I have found it to be somewhat more accurate in my rifles also. I have kllled deer, antelope and elk with them with no problems. The Interlocs are also cheaper which helps these days. The 175 Partitions hit the same point of impact as my Interlocs loaded equally in my 7mag, so I can sight in with the Interlocs and shoot deer with them and then switch to Patitions for elk.

I didn't vote either. My favorite bullet wasn't included. NorthForks shoulda been on the list.
Guess in a pinch, I'll go with the tried & true Partition. For me, NF's seem to be a bit more accurate and they don't lose as much weight as a Partition. I know, I know. Partitions are desigend to lose something like 15% or so of their weight. My somewhat limited experience with NF's are that they lose less weight and still mushroom.
I'm gonna stick with my NF's.

I'd for preference use a heavier bullet on elk than on deer/antelope. Possibly even a different rifle.
Failing that: 150gr NP's in .270Win.

I too prefer a heavier bullet and a larger caliber for elk than I use for deer and antelope.

My favorite bullet for deer and antelope has been the .25 caliber 117 gr Sierra GameKing.

My favorite elk bullet was the .30 caliber 180 gr Nosler Partition, but this year a .30 caliber 168 gr TSX worked so well, I think that is the bullet I will be using on future elk hunts.

If I could only use one rifle and one bullet for deer, elk, and antelope, it would be my .300 Wby shooting 168 gr TSX bullets.

And kill just as good as the partision.

Nosler Ballistic Tips have been great for us.

I like the speer grand slams but I havent tried most of the bullits on the poll yet.

I have had wonderful performance from the partition in calibers through .366"

For largest game I prefer the Barnes or Woodleigh projectiles.

At the current rate of buying bullets.....it won't be long and all my bullets will be in black boxes and have pretty white tips.

Nosler has a real winner here.

Which ever shoots best in your particular rifle. Some of mine prefer Hornady Interloks and some prefer Partitions. If elk was not on the list, Sierra Gameking or Prohunter.

I chose the Accubond not only because of its terminal performance but because it shoots so well.

If I had to pick one it would be the partition. I am currently looking into the e tips,tsx, and hornady gmx bullets, because i am figuring i have enough lead bullets for awhile and the move to ban lead is on its way i am afraid. I also like the hornady interbond, but does not penetrate as far.

The best bullet sold in North America is not listed here, the North Fork. If I had to pick only one bullet, it would certainly the the North Fork. The writers never talk about it, the polesters never include it in their lists. If they would only shoot them, they would have their eyes opened. I have shot them all, including everything on this list, The North Forks are at the top IMO. Good shooting.

Partitions for me with Accubonds a close second

180 gr Partition leaving the muzzle in excess of 3,000 fps is the key to the retirement system for all of the animals mentioned.

I voted "Partition". I've been shooting them in every rifle I can since circa 1955. Not a "Super Bullet", however when driven within their design parameters they simply do what they say they will do, every time! I have never had a terminal ballistics failure of a Nosler Partition.

In the past few years I've been using Accubonds. I have been very impressed with them and I now try to use them when I can.
