SPCE or HPC bullets? Looks like SPCE would be best?

Taking my son to RSA this summer, he's using my 308 win and I have a new 8x57 that will I be trying out. He will be doing 90% of the hunting.

I never hunted Africa with Sellier & Bellot ammo, but I have shot a fair bit of game (hogs, etc) with the .323 cal 196 grs SPCE bullet out of an 8x64S. Velocity was about what you'd expect from an 8x57IS (about 2500 fps). The bullet killed well for me, although some people claim it is hard on the meat.

In hunting Plains Game on an African safari, the affect of the bullet on the meat would not be a concern for the hunter....DRT is what you're after. Should work well.
