Good guy report

Just wanted to give jgraham1 kudos for the Ruger African 9.3x62 SS McWoody stock he sold me.

It's in beautiful condition, and very accurate. Shooting an inch or less @ 100m with a Leupold VXIII 2.5-8 I mounted on her.

Well, I am shooting factory ammo, and have tried three different brands so far: Win. PP 286 gr., Rem. CL 286 gr., and Norma Oryx 286 gr. Oddly, or perhaps luckily, they are all shooting about an inch group with all three brands, but the Norma is shooting a little under an inch @ 100m.

I have some more to try, Nosler soft & solids, and some 300 gr. SAF that Superior loaded for me years ago.

Great news. Are all the bullets on same point of impact?

My pre 1912 Simson prints most handloads into a 3 inch group. The only issue I have is with IMR3031 loads, they go way up high - even 12 inches high for some weird reason.

Have I corresponded with you about loads etc. PM if you are interested in old articles etc.

Yes, most all loads are shooting to the same POI in general.

I shot the Nosler Safari ammo today, 286 NP, but the group was bigger. Maybe it was just me. I'll try it again on Friday.

We have not corresponded in the past, but I do not reload. I also don't post pics. Not smart enough. But it's a beautiful rifle.

So, tried the Nosler Safari 286gr. NP & Solids again today, Friday.

The NP shot a 1.06" 3-shot group, and the Solids were a 1" 3-shot group, all to basically the same POI (3/4" apart @ 100 yds.). Very happy with the ammo, and I realized my previous performance was me, not the ammo.

Good on 'ya Nosler!
