Ever scence I got my 300 Win a new barrel I've had to use a different powder. It is IMR4350. Thats not a problem I can still shoot it over 3000 FPS With the 180 gr bullet. What different powders do you us in your 300 Win?

ELKMAN2RE22 and H4350 work great on my Ruger, I have not shot the T3 but I will try both of them first

sniper66The best performing powder in the .300 Win. Mag. for me is without any doubt the Norma MRP. After all my testing with powders of different make there was nothing equal to MRP. Best speed, best consistency from lot to lot, smallest extreme spread of all powders tested. Not cheap, but worth every penny....

308SakoThe powders I've used are IMR 4350, 4831, 7828, R-22. The best accuracy on paper was 4350. The best velocities a with excellent accuracy 7828. Bullets were 180 & 200 grain.

JacobiteWith 165 grain bullets mine likes IMR 4350 but when I switched to 180's I had to switch to H4831.

vapodogBoth my 300 H&H and my (former)300 Winny get fed 200 grain A-Frames and H-4350.
For the 180 grain bullets I use the same powder but from a 30-06 barrel.

Thank A Vet for Freedom!Jro-45, I use several powders for several loads and 3 separate .300 Win mags, along with a .300 Ultra Mag. My favorite powder is IMR-4831 and H-4831 powder.
I also use RL-22 powder, it gives higher velocities with 180 grn bullets. IMR-4350 seems more accurate using Barnes X & TSX bullets. The use of IMR-7828 is used on the 200 grn Barnes bullets for highest velocities out of my rifles.

woodsI load for 5 of them and RL22 is the best powder for the 300 win mag.

Ackley Improved UserGo with Re25 or Retumbo, or try the new VvN570 when it's available. I like 83 grs. or Re25 with 180 NBTs or NPTs or Accubonds. ~3250 fps with 1 MOA accuracy in a 26" barrel.

djpepperI'll put a vote in for Rel22. IMR4350, 4831 work nicely as well.

martinbnsI've had the best luck with reloder 22, I tried H1000, H4831 and h4350, none deivered the velocity and accuracy that reloder 22 did.

buckshot78.0 grains of IMR 7828 and Nosler's 180 grain P.pt. is the way to go. RL 22 is right up there too.

chainIn mine for paper accuracy H 1000 for speed RL 22 I compromised on 180 gr bullets with IMR 4831, faster than H 1000 and more accurate trhan RL 22.

jro45The barrel I had on it before liked RL22. This barrel doesn't like RL22 but likes IMR4350 may like H4350 also. Will have to try some. But with Imr4350 I get 3060 FPS could go to 3100 with 180gr bullets.
