Need a tool for removing Win 3-position bolt shroud?
Hi guys is there a special tool made that removes the bolt shroud from a Win model 70 bolt?
Its always a hassle to get the shroud off and clean up the interior of the bolt and firing pin assembly.
Thanks

Try a Nickle under the stricker after it is pulled back far enough to clear the bolt body.

There really is no need to disassemble the entire firing pin assembly, once you have screwed the cocking piece out of the bolt, just flush with degreaser a re-lube.

All Win 70 bolts are "field strippable", just put the safety into it's midway position, depress the bolt stop button on the left side of the bolt, and unscrew the cocking piece from the bolt.
The bolt stop is the small depressable button on the left side of the cocking piece, that is pushed in when the bolt is pushed into the action, it stops the cocking piece from rotating when removed from the rifle if the safety is engaged.
No tools are required to disassemble a Win Mod 70 or Mauser style bolt.
