what is the barrel life on the 300 RUM?

I'v seen posts that claim over 1800 rounds and still shooting accurately.The "experts" predicted 800-1000 rounds for the 7RUM,but mine tells me they were wrong.

I have nearly 800 round thru my 300 Ultra.
The throat lookes very frosted thru a bore scope.
Shoots better than it ever has.
This rifle has been shot at max velocity its entire short life.
I suspect you could get 1500-1800 rounds if you went easy on it. But I wouldn't bet on it.

Do not shoot 20 rounds through it in 20 minutes.In other words dont shoot it when the barrels really hot.These big case capicity cartridges require some babing.[TLC]
