338 Lapua Magnum Lapua versus Hornady??
Has anyone shot their 338 LM rifle with Lapua brass and also with the Hornady brass.

How do the brands compare?

Thank you.

I only shoot Lapua brass because I got a great deal on a lot of 400 once fired brass. But in my opinion (and this opinion applies not only to the LM but all CF brass) the brass itself plays a very little role if any in accuracy and for that matter anything else. The volume is just to small to argue pressure issues (lots of people feel it does). And if arguing the strength of one over the other, to me is only a debate on how many times you can reload the brass. With that said, my 2 cents would be to say; use what ever you like! Just be sure it's sound and dimensionally correct.

It's the only brass I own for my Lappy . I bought a fair amount of it when I also bought a case lot

of lapua brass in various calibers . I scored on .223 for $.17 per piece and most everything else was

priced similarly .308 30/06 and my .338 . Funny story I didn't even own a Lapua .338 when I bought

that brass but I knew I would within a certain period of time .

I shoot Lapua brass because it's Great Brass and holds up better than any other brand !. Say for RWS

it's to close to call IMO .

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I will likely stick to Lapua brass because I have a decent sized pile at the moment.

Interestingly, I have a few pieces of Norma 338 Lapua brass. Those are identical to the Lapua cases. I wonder if Norma makes that brass for Lapua, or the other way around.
