lawndartI've got a SS 75 in 300 WM. I think the stock flexes in recoil and spreads the impulse out. My rifle keeps putting shots #1 & #2, or #2 & #3 into the same hole with the other bullet an inch out. Well within minute of Elk.
I wouldn't screw with anything before Elk season. I have finalized my rifle configuration for Elk season, and am just shooting from field positions.

Savage99Your a target shooter DJ and you know what a flier does to a score.
That's why I got rid of my 378 long ago. That was a wise move. A cartridge that requires 95 grs of powder says the same thing to me.

djpaintlesYea flyers will kill you, but it was my fault and not the rifles, I was trying to show how well it could shoot but I have to be honest when I show a group.
For some reason the Stainless 300 Rum doesn't seen that bad on recoil. I had a Sako Delux in 300 RUM that gave me a headache after about 15 rounds, I can shoot the stainless one most of the day without too much effect (maybe I've already killed off the pertinant brain cells

djpaintlesAnother reason from today's range session.....

Note: this load is probably too warm for most rifles.
