Actually, I think there is humor in most of Mortie's posts. He incites far less cyber riots than the rest of us. There is likely instances where he has responded with less respect than some here feel they deserve but I do not recall any.

Allow me to help those of you who do not want to read a Mortie post.
1. If a thread is started by Mortie simply do not open it.
2. Before reading any post in any thread look to the left of your screen and if you see Mortie move to the next post.

we all know mortie is not shooting squill with an '06, nor loading by the thousands of rounds with unmeasured powder charges. and it is obvious the author of mortie's posts is having fun - and not at anyone's expense. mortie's adventures are patently fictional, for entertainment purposes only, and not designed to stir up trouble for its own sake.

this certain other poster apparently gets great pleasure from new posters (he almost got me once) falling for his "projects," and old hands dog-cussing him with every new "project" idea. this poster's "projects" are fictional, but based on just enough facts to render them possible.

Click on MORTIE wherever you see a one of his posts, you will get the choice of ignoring him on the next screen.

After that, you will not see any of his posts.

I use the ignore function but that only eliminates the text. I would just as soon not even see where he has been let alone that stupid picture.
