The 338 RUM
The 338 Rum can shoot the 250gr bullet at 3067 FPS, and the 225 at 3178, and the 200gr bullet
goes 3120 All these rounds are Accubond bullets.

Hmm, might want to check your speedometer; you've got the 225 going faster then the 200. . . . . . . . ? I would think you could push the lighter bullet a little faster. . . . .

All I'm doing is saying how fast in FPS MY 338 RUM will do. And if your Lapua is faster Witch
I know it is. How much faster is it.

I want a 338RUM some kind of bad, But I want that Remington 700 model with the extreame weather coating. There is just something about that rifle that makes me tingly inside.

My 338 will do a 200 at about 3500 fps and a 225 at 3400+.

I can see that you would want to shoot game far off. Myself I'm happy with the volocity I'm getting. Thanks for posting a reply.

Tyler,
What is the barrel length on your rifle? I ask because of the velocity of the loads your getting. Just curious.

jro45,
36"? or is that a typo and you meant 26"? I have been thinking of doing a 338 build (rum or lapua)but want to keep barrel length at 26 or shorter since I'll be packing it.

I have a 24 inch barrel on mine works just fine. One of my favorite loads is pushing a 225 grain North Fork at 3050 fps.
This load will is very accurate in my gun.
