The .338 Edge is based on the .300 RUM necked to .338 of course and a little sharper at the shoulder I think. From what I've been reading it performs right in there with the Lapua and Norma mag.

Everybody needs a .35 Cal. in their battery , just for such occasions as yours ! >35 Whelen is an awsome tool , and there aren't any flys on the .358 Win. either .

A 9.3x62 is perfect in my opinion.
