9.3x62 factory ammunition?
Does anyone manufacture 9.3x62 ammunition with suitable projectiles for Buffalo?
I use hand loads but a mate is happy to just purchase factory ammo.
Regards.

Barnes Vor-Tx with a 286 grain TSX FB bullet should work well.

Norma load the 9,3x62 with 286 grain Swift A-Frame
and also load 9,3x62 with their own 270gr Solid.

Adam I wouldn't mind using RWS 293gr. UNI (TUG) - accordingly - or Blaser's 286gr CDP.

I'll second the Blaser CDP as a buffalo bullet. It shoots very accurately out of my double rifle in 9,3x74R and in my 9,3x62 rifles and I used it for 2 seasons drive hunting. However, I found it so hard that most of the time it failed to expand in roedeer and even in sizable wild boars, so I stopped using it. OTOH, I know a professional hunter who operates in Tanzania and swears by the CDP for buffalo, getting excellent if not full penetration on broadside shots. He also told me that, except on spine shots, recovered bullets held together.

---------

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

I was told the Lapua 286 grain bullet is stout and good for buffalo. I've only used it on large thin skinned game and it performed much like a Swift.

What do you mean by "cast" bullet?
