Anyone try the Berger 168 gr VLD in their 7mm-08, how did it work out?

I bought some 162 AMAXs for my 708, might give them a try next year, wonder if theyll shoot better than 150NBTs.

I have read good things about the amax in 7mm-08
I am interested in the 168gr Berger VLD as it has a higher BC for bucking wind at longer range, and it will still expand at 1800 FPS so that gets you out there and at my altitude that is still about 1200 lbs energy. Not sure how fast the amax needs to be moving to expand.
I have read many reports that the amax performs better on game at moderate speeds as it is not designed to be a game bullet yet many report great success with it.

I tried some 175 grain hornady spire points in my 7mm-08, and with a little less than a max load of H4350 I got about 2450 fps.
