7mm Rem Mag Sako Finnlight
I am considering buying a Sako Finnlight in 7mm Rem Mag and was wondering if anyone has any experience of the accuracy of this rifle in this calibre.

I have had a Finnlight in .243 and it was virtually one holing at 100 yards, but was wondering if anyone out there has one specifically in 7mm and what their experiences are?

Any experience/feedback would be gratefully recieved.

It's probably gonna thump you pretty good, but I'm sure you knew that. It's a Sako, how can it be bad? Wink

I have a Finnlite in 7-08, it shoots 1/2 MOA using Nosler BT 120Gn homeloads, slightly more with factory rounds at 150Gns; but only from a 'clean barrel' - appears susceptible to fouling. Thats not a problem, it gets cleaned after every outing.

Thanks for the info.

The problem now is getting hold of one. I have checked with my local dealer and they tell me Sako are not taking "special orders" and 7mm Rem Mag is apparently a special order item.

It amazes me that a manufacturer like Sako cannot fullfill orders of this nature and would rwally like to understand the rationale behind this.

I will wait until they are taking orders and get one then however i'm not sure when this will be.

I have a 7mm RM in a manlicher carbine. Although I only used it for hunting and very little range time, it always performed great. I would never hesitate recomending a Sako. The older the better. if I ever have to sell any of my firearms, the Sako's will be the toughest to let go.
