.338 Pegasus
Hi!

I am looking for info about the .338 Pegasus.

What case it`s based on, reloading date ect.

Anybody out there know something?

I believe what you may be looking for is actually the .338 Excalibur (the Pegasus is the .300 version)

The case was designed in 1994 and is a proprietary, beltless case. It requires a bolt face of .580 and is able to deliver a 200 grain bullet in excess of 3500 fps (at the muzzle) while generating less than 62000psi. Data includes 140 grains of 8700 (200 gr. Nosler BT); 128 grains of 870 or 113 of RL22. Apparently it is slightly more than the 8.59 Lazzeroni. Info and brass may be available from A-Square or through Huntingtons. Good Luck!

It's basically the Rigby with less taper.
In fact, I think A-Square guys helped designed the 450 Rigby case, weird as that might sound.
It is about neck and neck with the 338-378 Wby, another case designed after the Rigby.
