slammerRe: HELP - need/want a new range rifle
Nothing boring about a .308. Of course though the last one I shot could go over 1,000 rounds a minute. It was the new 240 bravo that the military started using a couple years ago. Nothing boring about that!!

jb177Good idea, I think I might try that. Do you think it would produce a 25-06 or even better a nice 257 weatherby?

butchloctry putting the 22/250 and the 7 in a dark cabinet next to each other. I've found that they often breed that way. Maybe a nice 257 will pop out. (hey it worked on the mrs.)

284LUVRHow about an older Rem. 700 Varmint Special? They came in 22/250 243 7/08 and 308.Heavy barrel great stock and fine accuracy.Half the fun would be finding one and I'm sure you wouldn't regret it. JMHO

slammerI would definately have to agree with "Capt David" the remington heavy barrel. In something like a 243. Any of them I've ever seen are tack drivers. You can shoot them all day comfortably. They are a good coyote smacker. And I don't care what anyone says with a good bullet put in the right place they will drop deer like lightning
