358 STA build
Off to the gunsmith tomorrow to start the build of the 358STA.

I am having irons from NEw England CustommGuns installed. Banded front with green fiber optic bead. The rear sight is on their standard island, bit the sight is a full moon aperture protected by wings. It looks like an express V sight until you really look at it.

Now, if I can live long enough for that McWoody to get here.

One last question. How many 35 caliber rifles does one have to own to be considered a 35 nut?

I've had 3 Norma Magnum's and now a 9X57 and a 35 Gibbs. The 35 is the perfect big game hunting rig for Alaska!

I tend to use more than enough gun

I shoot two STA’s and have enjoyed them since 2005 so I guess I could be classified a 35 nut. When you get your STA done you can find reloading info in the following manuals. Barnes books 1,2 and 3. Nosler book 5 and A-Square which gives loads for the 275 grain bullets. I will share my loads when the time comes. Good Shooting.

So, Rusty said he could do it, eh?
He is good at what he does, in my experience.
I am guessing that the reamer he has at his shop was used only once before.
It was sharp the first time, still should be.

Yeap, we are off to Dr. McGhee in the morning.

This will be my second 35 caliber rifle. The other being my 35 Whelen.

The McWoody stock eta is still many months away. I will send pictures to everyone once we get the steel all together.

Now, after all these years if wanting a 358 STA watch Ruger bring out the 358 Ruger.

Be a smaller case than the 358 STA.

I own 8 .35 caliber rifles. I have owned a few more....and built even more for guys....
I like the caliber, a lot.
Oh, if you count 9.3 as a .35, which I don't, then the number goes up to like 14. or so.
