<Doc Garnett>JOHAN --
You'll be pleased to know that you can order a 9.3 x 62 bbl for your R93.
For all --
If you have but one 9.3, would you prefer the x62 or x64? And why? Which would be best for a first time RSA hunt?

KurtCThe world would truly be a sad place if you could have only one 9.3.
If you also have something bigger, than the 62 is fine. If you do not, than the 64 will offer more versatality. I would not mind parting with my .404 knowing that I still have a 9.3x64 to fill the gap.

<Husky>Caine,
I'm just back from the shooting range and have tested Kobus bullets! Tested bullets was Rhino Solid Shank 286gr, Rhino 286gr FMJ and Normas Excellent 286gr Oryx bullet.
I made up a load that works very nice in my Husqvarna 1600 9,3x62. It has a Sculz & Larsen barrell 55cm long. The scope I use is Finn Aagards old favorite: Weaver 2,5x with steel tube.
I used 55 grains of Norma 203-B powder. Their maximum recommendation is 57,9 grains which shall give a Vo of 2441ft/s with the 286gr Alaska bullet.
The result was very pleasant I must say. All three bullets had the same point of impact and the total disperse was 5cm with 9 bullets fired (3 of each sort)at 100m. I would probably shoot much better with a high enlarging scope. But this is good enough for Moose, Wildboar and a couple of African speices...
I found one Rhino solid Shank in the sand embankment. The sand was frosen and hard as stone (more or less..) The bullets weight was 271gr ~95% of original wheight! I didn't found any FMJ or Oryx bullet..

AtkinsonHuntingtons now has 9.3x64 cases from Hornberger and that wonderfull Lapua brass in 9.3x62...Graf and Sons has Frontier (Hornady) brass in 9.3x62 at $31.00 retail....I get the Lapua at $41.00 wholsale so thats naturally my choice...
I am just glad I don't live near Kurt, he has so many guns I lust for, that I'm afraid of what I might do if he was within shoot'en range....
I don't suppose that Brno 22F action is for sale is it?

KurtCRay,
The 7x64 might be up for adoption in the near future. I also have an M-S 1950 Carbine in .257 Roberts and I'm trying to decide which one of these needlebores to keep.
