Dr. LouRe-bore Sauer 202 BBL
Can LaBounty, et al re-bore a Sauer 202 barrel? I am looking to make a 30-06 into a 9.3x62. At the cost of Sauer barrels, this would be the way to go if he can. Thanks, Lou

iamgeneShoot Jim Dubell an email at Delta, he's very prompt and will get back to you. He's doing a job for me, current leadtime for my rebore is 10-12 weeks.

tiggertateYes, it can. LaBounty rebored and chambered a Sauer 200 barrel (same as 202 barrels) for me in '89 or '90. I went from 270 to 338-06 AI. Because of the way the Sauer system works, he didn't need the bolt to chamber and headspace it; just the barrel and his DRO.

Dr. LouThanks! I don't have any real use for a 30-06 bbl and a new 9.3x62 bbls runs about $900. Unless I can find someone to trade, this is the way to go.
Does anyone know how they change the cartridge info on the bbl? I am real picky about this. I have seen some that have been just stamped over the old and it looks like shit. Those I have seen where they machine the old off and nicely stamp the new cartridge looks much cleaner. Lou

GeoffM24Jim doesn't just do rebores he is a full service ACGG member. I'm sure he can fix the markings.
