Jon BeutlerM70 Identification
Hello everyone, happy labor day. I came across this rifle on Gunbroker. It says its new, but I can find out anything online about it. Any help would be appreciated. Looking for a CRF 06 M70 for a relative.
Link to 06 Thanks,

Uncle GrinchDoesn’t appear to be a CRF action on that M70.
Might try looking for an Interarms MkX in 30-06. You may find one close to that price range.

OngweNot Controlled Round Feed. Made in 2005 or earlier.
And not "brand new" by my definition when they put a scope on it.

dpcdThese make great hunting rifles that you can't break, and they feed smoother than a claw extractor. And are just as reliable.
The 3 position safety is worth half of the price of the $300 I usually get them for.
Yes it can be brand new because some retailers bought and sold them with scopes already on them.

AtkinsonI, also would hold out for the control feed....

dpcdI wouldn't bother, nor spend the double price for CRF; they are highly over rated. Yes, I have many of both types; come on out and we can test a dozen or so of each type. Push feeds are as reliable, and are smoother feeding.
If CRF was so good, why does the Army use push feeds for everything but the M2 MG?
You want something reliable when shooting at target that will shoot back.
Been discussed ad nauseum.
Of course, everyone is free to buy what they want......

LamarI'd toss the scope before I even shot it.
but I'd have no problem putting that action in a good stock and using it.
I built a couple of wildcats and some Ackley rifles on the push feed win actions and have zero problems with using them.
