Springfield national Match Shooting Sling
Anyone have one of these and shoot with a sling? Midway carries these and the Anschutz sling which is 3 times it's price. If you have one or the other I'm interested, since I'm about to buy one.

Thanks,

Chuck

If you plan on shooting service rifle with the M1, M14/M1A or M16/AR then you'll need the Springfield sling. The Anshutz sling works for match rifle.

1. Go to Creedmoor Sports and buy a "Turner Custom Made Military Rifle Sling," cost $49.95 plus S&H.

2. Next Go to:

www.illinoishighpower.org/gene...SRA%20SR%20Sling.pdf

This website will explain (with pictures) how to configure the sling on a M-16 for service rifle competition. It is mounted exactly the same way on a 1903 Springfield or an M1 Garand.

Hope this helps. Bill.

Hello,
Let me suggest you check out Leslie Tam Slings, Service Rifle Slings.
Have had two of them for over a decade and can say they are of highest quality and upon checking out his web site you can see why they are highly thought of by experienced NM shooters. Finest of leather and neither of mine have stretched over all these years.

I have used the Turner slings for several years and they are excellent.

If the Tam slings are from a fella in the 50th state I have heard good things about them also.

Thanks all, I'm glad I checked before I purchased. I plan to use the sling on a CZ 550 sporting rifle. But I've always shot with a sling off hand and sitting.
