Jamiesavage30/30
A few years back my grandpa gave me a 30/30,
This gun just sits in the gun safe and is pretty much useles for the hunting I do here in western
WA. My question is; is this action any good to save for future project rifle maybee varmit rifle
or would I be better off selling the rifle?
Here is the info off the rifle (I hope its enough
info to tell what it is).In large letters it says STEVENS then in smaller, savage arms corporation
chicopee falls,Mass.USA proof tested cal.30/30
MODEL325-B.
Its a bolt action with a detachable magazine.
P.S. can this rifle be reberled to somethig usefull?

<green 788>I don't think that action is suited for any other purpose. However, it can be useful as is for casual plinking and hunting. 30-30's are cheap to shoot, and fairly effective on deer sized game inside 150 yards.
If your grandfather gave you the rifle and you are someone who finds himself unable to drink boiling water and piss ice cubes, you'll regret selling it or changing it.
Clean and oil the rifle, and keep it...
