verhoositzDunno, my 270 WTHunter sez M695 on the receiver as does my 300WMg WTHunter. Dunno what the "M" at the end of the M695 means. Call Beretta and ask them.

TumboThe Tikka M695 is a long action the M595 is the short action, avaliable on the pre T3 models,eg you could buy a whitetail hunter in 308 M595 action or a 30-06 M695 action.
Both of these actions are avaliable in all Tikka models before the T3.
So you could buy a whitetail hunter in 270,30-06,7mmRRM ect & they would have an M695 action but you could also get the same action in the continental or other Tikka models.
Hope that explains it for you.

Leif WoldI think it means the long action in magnum calibers. I have the .338, nice looking rifle with a smooth action. However, I don't like the plastic magazine & trigger guard.
