300 Ultra Mag works just fine.........
My Sako M-75 Stainless in 300 Ultra mag worked just fine on this years hunt......

The 200 grain Accubond load I was using tracked perfectly with the TDS reticle and I was able to make a pretty long shot...............DJ

I hit it in the neck and he dropped like a rock and didn't move. I can't really comment too much on the Accubond's terminal performance since just about any bullet would have done just about the same considering where it hit him.
I do like how accurate they are and how well they fly. The elevation on my TDS reticle was perfect and that played a big part in making the shot........DJ

Wstrnhntr, It's a Colorado bull, from the San Jaun Mountains near Ridgeway. It wasn't the biggest bull out there but OK for me. We're having him for dinner tonight!........DJ

You deserve a pat on the back. Good job. May I ask what powder and how much of it you use?

I have a custom Rem BDL 700 with a 28" Shilen barrel. I shoot the 200 Accub. over 89.0 Re25. Have not checked velocity now that temp is down.

DOC, I shoot a pretty mild load of 95grs of Retumbo but heres how it shoots at 200 and 300 yds:

200yds

and at 300

I've shot the 200 Accubond in 3 different 300 RUM's and it's shot great in all of them, how well has it worked for you and what kind of velocities do you get from that 28" barrel?..........DJ

MY GOD, what do you do, lock your gun to a vice?!! I've never grouped that good at that distance. I just can't hold that steady even on a rest. My heartbeat moves me too much I guess.

I'll have to get back to you on the velocity with Re25, but based on trajectory out to 450 yards, it's certainly cookin'.
