Winchester model 70 pre 64
I was in Billings, MT this pass weekend and was at a sporting goods store. I was looking on the used gun rack and saw a Winchester model 70 pre 64 sn 214269 for sale at the price of $350.00 The rifle has a Leupold vx I 3x9 on it. The rifle has been refinished. How bad did I get taken for?

If you are lookng for a shooter and not a collector's piece you did very well.

With a scope? $350!!. Good deal.

The action alone is worth that.

What chambering?

I just found a rebarreled M70 Classic in 35Whelen for $550
and I'm still dithering.

(the twist rate might help me decide, but I need to go back with a cleaning rod)

Um, you did well as the action alone is worth $400.00

Wow, I bet that one slipped thru. You could drag it behind your truck and it would still fetch more than that in stores around here.
