ron williamsRottweil Slugs
I shoot nothing but Brennekes in my BBF97, my testing indicated they were the only slug accurate enough for my needs. I now see that a couple places have Rottweil Exacta ammuntion in stock. These look like a Brenneke, but have a spiral fins on the outside. I am going to grab a few boxes for testing. Does anyone else have experience with these?

LorenzoMany people use them here for pigs. They work ok.

KebcoKeep a eye open for the Rottweil "Laser Plus" shotgun sabots, I have not had a chance to test them myself yet but have been told this sabot will be hard to beat for accuracy and energy

mouse93There was an accuracy test in Wild&Hund 6/2009 - 12/70mm Rotweil Brenneke Exact won (3,5 cm group at 50m), Brenneke Classic came close second.

Most "sabot" slugs are designed for rifled barrels & will not stabilize in smooth bores.
Foster slugs & slugs W/base wads that are retained in flight (like the old design Brenneke) stabilize via a weight forward configuation. Drop a styrofoam cup from any orientation & it will fall bottom 1st. Same principle.

ron williamsThanks for the info. For some reason I swore I posted this to the drilling section, so do apologise for it being in the wrong section.
