Reloader1st trip to the range with the new 75 Finnlight....
I rigged out my new toy last week and finally got a chance to do alittle range session yesterday. Not a concrete bench like I'd rather, but the pic-nic table at the camp worked out ok despite the light rain

I had 10 loads that were about 5 years old(150 Hdy SPILFBs roll crimped in the can in Hdy brass, 58grns H4831, and WLRs)to use for barrel break in. I loaded up a few random loads with 130 NBT seconds as well.
A couple shots to get it close and here's the rest of the story:
Avg MVs:
Break-in rounds: 2818fps
59 R22: 2882fps
60 R22: 2927fps
59 H4831: 2869fps
60 H4831: 2873fps
55 I4350: 2925fps
Not blazing speed, but the accuracy is there so I can't complain. I didn't expect high MVs with the 20-7/8" bbl anyway. I feel with the right powder, I should have good accuracy and MVs in the 2950-3000 with 130s. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt with that IMR4350 load

Not too bad, I think she'll be a keeper

I mounted a VX3 4.5-14x40 Wide Duplex in Talleys:

Fish30114Ronny, good on ya! I've seen that type performance from a lot of Sako 75's and 85's. I can't seem to stop liking that!!!!
Congrats!!!

krakyDon't ya just hate a gun that shoots everything good?? Now you have no excuse to keep going back to the range. There is no reason to find that magic load!!

ReloaderI hear ya Kraky. I believe that little jewel probably will shoot just about any load I feed it. Good problem to have.
Fish, that's my first Sako. Can't hardly argue with the performance

Ya'll have a good one,
