308SakoHas this ever happened to you?
When shooting today I fired 6 rounds, 3 lower and 3 upper with my Browning Continental .30-06. There are only 5 holes in the target, spaning just under 2.5 inches, and each round felt good. Range was 100 yards, so I'm thinking that round #3 really did go through another hole...

45/70 Govt.Somewhere in the file I have a photo of a five shot group that looks like three holes. Cloverleaf with two down the middle.
Off a bench with a 14x scope, and my buddy looking at the target with a 60x spotting scope. Down the middle is where they went.

Don FischerI've had that happen several times. Couldn't do it on purpose tho. I read of a target I think it was Gail McMillan shot that was 5 shots @ 100yds that appeared to be one hole but the backer said 5. Final measurement was .009"!

RogerKIt happens to me every so often. It happened while I was sighting in a new rifle and scope two weeks ago just before a moose trip. Three shots from a group felt good but it looked like only 2 hot the target, a 14" X 14" on an even bigger plywood board. A close look showed one hole ever so slightly out of round.
