The 7mm STW is a fine caliber for this application. It will drive 140's over 3400 fps and with great accuracy. I'd keep the barrel length at 26" minimum and remember that this is a caliber that will heat very quickly. Paul.

I'm looking to build a nice long range rig for Sheep, goats, caribou, etc. At first I was considering the .280 AI, but now I'm leaning more towards the STW. What has been your experiences with these calibers? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks
