Does anyone have any expeerience with this rifle builder? He is reported to be a builder of "long range" rifles, but I don't know if that means long range benchrest, long range hunting, or what. Have never heard of him before, so would like to gather some info I can pass on to a close friend.

I'm not certain what other kinds of rifles John builds, but he builds black powder cartridge rifles. A sort of specialty is remodeling military Rolling Blocks into sporter configuration, adding double set triggers, and rebarreling with the owner's choice of barrels and calibers. He has built rifles for me and several friends, and all I have seen have been truly excellent. Although he does some stock work, he prefers metal work. I have found him to be a careful, meticulous workman who can be counted on to deliver a top-quality product at a fair price.
