I know that in many places silencers are illegal, but used a silenced .222 in South Africa last year and was really impressed. I have mates that would be interested in silencing a 30-06 for culling work, but are unsure how effective it would be...anyone here know?

Yes a good one on a 06 well work just find you well still have the bullet crack. But the muzzle blast well be cut way down. To bad they are illegal here in the states way to many people have hearing loss because of this dump rule.
