A friend of mine recently had a custom rifle built by Jerry Fisher. The gun finally was delivered after 2-3 years! He has taken it on one hunt and fired less than 100 round through it. The back sight has already fallen off! The soldering came loose. I thought this guy was an icon in the custom rifle business! My friend certainly bought him the very best parts to put the rifle together.

An "icon" in any business is prone to have a "failure" just like anybody else. How about your friend pick up the phone and arrange to send it back for repair.

Rolls Royce and Ferrari have been know to have hickups also..( RR wont admit they breakdown, instead they use the term ; fail to proceed, )
If you really want to be concerned about something, investigate all the doctors who bury their mistakes, thats why they use the term,
