Re: Sako Finnlight?
I own a SAko st/syn in .243 and the gun is very accurate. As far as the stock goes material wise it out classes most synthetic stocks made by american gun manufacturers. Its much more ridged, simular to a fiberglass stock and it holds its zero in that stock. Last time out I shot a 3 shot 300 yd group that measured 1-1/2 inches. The time before that a 1/4 inch 3 shot 100 yd group. I'll be getting more Sakos in the future, you bet. Also they have fine wood stocks in walnut and laminated, if You don't like the synthetics.

Head Trauma
Just sold a M75 Finnlight in .308.Thought I would like it but after using it a while it was just too light. "Twitchy" would be a good term to describe it off the bench, hard to hold steady in field shooting postions. 1-1/2" was the best I could get at 100yds, it had an oversize, slightly eccentric chamber, the fired brass didn't look too great. It also has the lawyer key lock on the bolt shroud which will cost you almost $200 to change, if you desire. For me, the standard M75 stainless is a much more "shootable" rifle and the extra weight is not that big a deal. Practically speaking, the 7-08 is pretty close to the 7x57 but at higher pressures. The 7x57 can be handloaded to 280 levels and have seen some shade the 7mm Mag. HTH, Russ Green.

Head,
Ken Waters in his "Pet Loads" says he can't even get the 7x57 to match the 7-08, although it's close, in modern guns. Is this "close to 280" chronied? If so, watch it. my $.02, capt david
