Though I recently bought a 7mmRM just because it was there in a neat package, my inclination would be to just wait until you perceive an actual need for another rifle, rather than let the tail wag the dog. I do like the 9.3x62 and use a light one as my main sambar rifle now but that may not fit your needs.

Having the barrel fluted may make weight sense in a lighter calibre but might fight against any classic look. A slimmer tube than the stock was made for could give an instantly floated barrel but provide the same weight saving.
