Rae59Savage Model 16 Weather Warrior FHSS rifle?
I am thinking about getting a Savage Model 16 FHSS and was wondering how their stainless barreled/synthetic "Accubedded" rifles shoot as opposed to their non-Acccubedded rifles?
Also, any comments on the synthetic stocks?

MThuntrI don't own a Savage in their AccuStock but I can say that their standard synthetic stocks are flimsy on my 3 year old Savage weather warrior

Curly-BudI bought a heavy barrel 22-250 in the accustock! first time to the range I thought I was going to be sorry! But the 2nd trip it started coming around!

the accutrigger! its a lot better than I thought it would be! I might give up on the remingtons!

The Accustock is a different animal entirely, with an aluminium "spine" running all the way past the fore-end sling stud.
Come November I could have personal experience of how the FLHSS shoots in .270 if a leftie Ruger isn't filling the slot.

OLBIKERI have a Mo.16 with the old style stock in 308 Win.that shoots 3/4 " 5 shot groups at 100 yds. That is not a fluke,it will do it almost every time,if I do my part.

Tapper2Out of the box nothing shoots better than a Savage, unless it cost 8 to 10 times as much. They just seem to keep making them better. For the money I don't think they can be beat. I have 6 Wby's, 10 or 15 Rem's, 5 Rugers and 25 or 30 Win's and my go to DG rifle is a Savage 116,.458 WM and my PG rifle is a Savage 116, 7mm RM. I restocked the 7mm and bedded the .458, but that is all. Both are sub-MOA ....Tom

Dr. LouToo bad they can't take some of that R&D money and do something about the looks, especially with the bolt shroud or lack of.
