RWS = Norma ?
Just bought 200 one fired cases in 7 x 64 , 120 RWS and 80 Norma , and start to sort by weight as they came from mixed lots , and found all the Norma 7 x 64 weights an average of 190 grains , all the RWS weight an average 205 grains , but found an lot of RWS. ( small dot after the S ) that weight as the Norma 190 grains [Confused] , as I have a few 222 RWS. (dot ) and again the same weight as Norma , I think now Norma owned by RWS it's producing the RWS cases , no more problem to discuss which brand it's best [Smile] .
Saludos

You gringo, got it almost right this time [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

NORMA and RWS is owned by dynamit nobel group. This means that NORMA makes some brass fro RWS sometimes and the reversed. RWS brass is often fleshy and very heavy. NORMA often has bigger capacity than other brands.

Exactly what I suspected some time ago when a friend gave me a couple of hundred used RWS 7x64 cases. Since then I sort out all cases that have the small dot after the letter S.
I also noticed that a part of the brand new RWS factory ammo in 7x64 is still loaded in traditional RWS cases and part of it is loaded in the (new) Norma-like cases with the S. on it.
I haven't seen any "S." cases in other calibres yet.

BTW: any of you know who makes the cases for Sako ammo?

Had this thing with Normas 300 WM shells that fabric loaded ammo shells were made at RWS and the new shells I bought were made by Norma.
