can anyone tell me where i can look up what year a couple of 700s i have were made. i remember about when i bought them but not exactly.

bounty hunter, if your rifles were made before 1987 I may be able to help you out. There should be 2 letters on the barrel close to the receiver, I think they are on the left side. Unless they have been rebarreled I can look these up in a book that I have & get it pretty close. I can't remeber the the name of the book or the authors name. It has a green cover & has "Remington 700" in the title. I think that authors name was Steve something. I know that it covered them up to 1987. Unless the stock has been changed you can get an idea from that also. What kind of checkering it has, what material is the butt plate made of. What does the safety & bolt shroud look like.
