350 Rem Mag Loads
Looking for some good loads using the Barnes 200gr and 225gr bullets to run thru a Rem Model 7 CDL with 20" barrel.

I had a 350 Rem Mag a long time ago and could never get close to the velocities listed in the various manuals.

I had a Rem model 660 in 350 RM, long ago. I have misplaced my records so I can't help you much but IIRC I was using IMR 4064 the 200 HRN and IMR 4320 for 250 Speer gr. bullets. I didn't own a chrono in those days so have no idea what speed I was getting.

There was also a low-recoil load that used 158 gr. .357 pistol bullets that was fun for plinking around. I'll try to dig it up for you.

I kick myself every time I think about letting that little rifle go.

DB I have had very good results with a long throated 350 Rem built on a mauser 98 action and with a 35 whelan improved using 4320 with 225 gr bullets.. I've seen lots of loads for both using W748 and RL 15 but I've never obtained the best accuracy with either of those powders. They no doubt work in some rifles.I would suggest you start down around 53 to 54 grs on 4320 with the 225 gr. Check your loading manual to confirm that starting load.I have used 4198 with 158 gr jacketed bullets to remove the heads of many grouse over the years. Most manuals will list some reduced loads. I found one that was a couple grs up from min that hit to the same point of impact at 20-30 ft as the full power loads. Hope that helps

I have the Model 673 in 350 Mag with a 22" barrel. My hunting load uses Vhitavouri 140 pushing a 200gr TSX around 2950 fps. I'm in the process of moving so I have packed up all my records and only have my computer up and running so I can't tell you exactly how much powder or what the COL but I can tell you it shoots well under an inch at 100 yards using CCI magnum primers. Send me a PM and when I finish unpacking I'll send you the correct data.

had great luck with RL 15, can get 2700 with a 225gr, and 2550 with a 250gr out of a custom 21" barrel.

My hunting load in a Rem 673 is a 225 gr Swift A-Frame over 59 gr of IMR 4320 using Winchester WLRM primers.
