ColoradoMattPrice check. Rem 700 titanium 300 SAUM/
I ran across a pair of Rem 700 titanium Rifles in a local pawn shop. Both are chambered in 300 Short Action Ultramag. They both apear "as new" with no boxes. I can get the pair for $1400. I have no desire to own or use these rifles, but I could buy and flip them for a modest profit if they are a good enough buy. I bet they would be much more desireable if they had a standard bolt face. Any suggestions? Thanks.

FinleyThese are the least desirable of the Titaniums because they came with a heavier contoured barrel (which added weight) and they kicked pretty good. Plus, they only hold 2 down in the mag.
7-08 is cream of the crop when it comes to the original TI. Thats still a good buy though. I bet you could flip them for $150-$200 each.
If you decide to pass on these let me know (or you want to sell one cheap!) I have been half ass trying to get one in each caliber....I know, a weird thing to collect.
Good luck.

ColoradoMattI agree that the 7mm-08 would be sweet in this rifle. I am a little partial to the 308 these days. I'll send you a PM.

That takes a total of 10 minutes to fix with the right part
so that shouldn't hold you back.

MileHighShooterPrice seems high, due to the low demand for the SAUM's. As far as I can tell, load development has come to a stand still, and it won't perform as well as the RCM and WSM short mags.
Get him down to 1000$ for both and you might be able to move them to people who want just the Ti action for a small profit.
If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

Max TraumaGet him down to 1000 and buy them. then pm me I will give you 600 for one. I have 2 already and they are great little guns.

Max TraumaIf you decide to pass on them let me know the phone number to the gunshop so I can have a chance at them

Woodrow SIt will be difficult to get 800.00 or more for these. You might make 100 bucks each on them. Outside of what you see on gunbroker's asking prices the real gunshop price point where these rifles do sell is right around 750.00, and maybe another 50.00 for the more sought after calibers.

Please Please Please let me know where I can get any of the more common calibers for 800.00, hell even 900.00

FinleyA 7-08 Ti in good condition will bring $1050-$1100 as fast as you can list it where I live.
I'm sure the demand for the original TI is low in PA.....here in Alaska they are treasured by mountain and backpack hunters.

Woodrow SI paid 750.00 for my TI Remmy in .270 just a few months ago and passed up one in 30-06 for 775.00 as I have way too many 06's as it is. All this at Cabelas to boot yet. You have to LOOK as they don't sit very long at these prices....but yet when you see them priced over 850.00 they just don't sell...at least in my area. Hunters here use guns as tools and are just as happy with a Savage or Winchester 30-30 as anything. Maybe I can buy and sell for some extra $$ like the original poster is thinking on doing...just a thought.

Hey Matt,
I bought one of these in 300 SAUM back in '04 for my dad for our Colorado elk hunt. He used it then for elk, every year since for deer and for all of his plains game in Africa (Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Warthog). He loves it, fits him well, doesn't kick at all and is a pleasure to carry. Easy to reload for as well.
I have a 700Ti in 260 Remington and lend it to a friend with heart trouble and pacemaker every deer season.
What did you wind up doing? If I weren't clearing out my safe for an elephant hunt, I would buy and keep them both. There is always a friend or family member who needs to borrow a rifle.

ColoradoMattA fellow AR member from Alaska e-mailed me early on, and ended up buying them from the Pawn shop.

CCMDocWell I am sure they will be put to good use and one less temptation for me.
