LHeym500300/375 Ruger by any name is here
Hornady has finally provided a 300/375 full length Ruger cartridge to the catalog. It is called the 300 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartidge).
I have no ballistics info. Maybe wo the Ruger moniker more companies will load for it, but I doubt Winchester or FN Winchester willow bring ammo and rifles out.t

vapodogHad they done this immediately after the introduction of the .375 Ruger, I probably would have gone down that pike....as it stands today the margins over the other standard magnums are of drastically reduced returns. It no longer grabs my wallet and says....ya gotta have it!

LHeym500I do know they are going to load a 210 grain ELD.
I do not know velocity.
I agree Ruger and Hornady really let the horse get away by casing and being late to the super short magnum crazy with the 300 RCM and 338 RCM cartridges.
The entire family based on the 375 Ruger case full sized like Nosler did was what should have happened.

Mike McGuireI don't follow Rugers much I so I might this a bit wrong.
But I seem to remember a rifle they had in 300 Win, 338 Win and 375 Ruger … might have been an open sighted rifle, can't remember.
At the time I was immediately thinking why not a 300, 338 and 375 Ruger.
It still beats me why a 416 Ruger before a 300 and 338 and of course those short little 300 and 338s.

aklesterThe .375 Ruger case is about PERFECT!
The PERFECT choice is .338/375... I opted for .338/300win about 15yrs ago; an easy conversion from the .338win standard round.
How is it that Longrange Target Shooters went gaga for the .300/338 and the .338/300 does almost everything that a .340wby or other big moose .338 mag will do?
I do have a .375ruger guide gun and carried out in the woods today... Very comforting with heavy bullets cast or jacketed.
The .338/375 looks to do a bit more than my .338/300; but I'm happy with what I have in the .338 dept...
