Can you switch out a 7600 .308 barrel with a 7mm-08 barrel without much difficulty.......assuming you can find a 7mm-08 barrel? Any ideas where to get a 7mm-08 barrel that will fit a 7600?

I've found a couple of 7600's in 7mm-08 at GunBroaker, etc, but they are VERY Expensive in the $800-$900+ range.

I figure that if it is doable, you should be able to pick up a doner 7600 .308 and then put a decent 7mm-08 barrel on it.

I haven't read about a 7600 barrel change. I guess is doable. You may have more info if you post this in the gunsmithing section.

Never Mind!!!

I just found out that Grices is doing another 7600 special run in 7mm-08 with black laminate stock. Going to call them and put my deposit down tomorrow!

THat is a good deal on that site. You will love the caliber which happens to be my favorite.

Already love the caliber....I've got a Rem 700 Mtn LSS in 7mm-08 which I will be pasing down to my son.

I've heard the 7600's are accurate shooters due to the free floated barrel. If it shoots half as good as the Mtn LSS I'll be tickled!!!
