I have a S&L DL 97 in 270 win.I'm using the hornady 130 interlocks over 61gn of H4831SC.
It will be used for hunting goats, pigs and deer.
Just purchased a packet of water bomb balloons to put over muzzle when out in the field.
The balloons come in the following colors.
blue,red,hot orange,yellow, purple &lime green.
As I have never used balloons over the muzzle before I want to know if any particular color is best to use for a particular species?

I see you are from Australia.....and that explains your question.....

The Aussies I know normally use the same color as the color of the condoms they use in being intimate with that particular species....

Canadians don't have the color problem as they only come in one color in Canada.....and besides.....they aren't very fussy.

Yep - muzzle baloon and condom absolutely, positively, uncompromisingly must absolutely match. If they don't, the animals get confused and while you're trying to line up your shot, another species is trying to line you up for it's shot.

The only problem is deciding what color goes with which animal. There may be some kind of code on the license that will tell you what color goes where.

When you tag your animal, condoms make great tag protectors. Fold the tag, place tag between the toes on the foot, then stretch the condom over the foot with the tag inside. I don't know if the Aussie size condoms are as large as here in the states. Ours are fairly large, so will go over a large hoof with ease.

Color is irrelivant to the species but critical for the muzzle velocity; use the wrong color match by more than one and you'll get your muzzle blown off.
