Want to try some North Fork bullets. How many of you have experinced them ? Tell me what you know about this bullet. Are they as accurate as they claim??? I see that its weight retintion is good at high vel. But what about the low vel. say 2300 fps, will they expand.?? I want to try some in my 300 Rum.. And in my 35 Whelen. I want to know everything you can give me , I am all ears...

MADDOG -- I loaded some 200 grain North Fork for a buddies .300 Rum for a Elk hunting trip to New Mexico. He won the high dollar hunt and the gun from Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I worked up a load at about 3000 fps. He shot a very nice bull at 420 yards. He hit the Bull three times and recovered two bullets. They had perfect mushrooms, in fact we sent them to North Fork, for their inspection. Needless to say he was very pleased, and now respects the North Fork bullets tremendously. I shoot the North Fork in my 7mm STW,.340 Wby, .358 STA, .416 Rem. The only bullets I failed to get pin point accuracy with was the 7mm and with it I got one inch groups. North Fork recalled that batch of 7mm bullets and were willing to replace them. I didn't feel that one inch groups were so bad that I needed them replaced. The North Forks are the most consistently accurate premium bullets I shoot. Yep they are expensive at $40.00 and up for 50 bullets. In my opinion that is not to much to pay for hunts that may offer that shot of a lifetime. I don't shoot them at whitetail deer at home, I don't fireform with them, but when I go on a hunt for that trophy animal I want them loaded in my rifle, because I know they will not fail me. i love north fork bullets, and the owner, i think his name is mike brady, is a real classy guy who will talk with you a bit about his bullets. they are trophy bonded bear claws improved, and that is saying a lot.

I shot Buffalo with them last year in my 416 Rem and they performed exactly the same in every animal I shot...I got two one shot kills and one of them was my first instant one shot kill on Buffalo...In each case they stopped on the off side skin in a perfect mushroom...Same results with Eland, Kudu, Kongoni, 6 Impala, and a monster warthog (16.5" with very heavy tusks)...

They are the most perfect bullet I ever shot. I have 8 recovered bullets and they simply clone each other...I was pushing the 380 gr. 416 bullet at about 2350 to 2400 FPS...

They are perfect for herd shooting Buffalo. I have seen the same results with the 270 and 300 Win. on deer and elk....
