Savage 110, 7mm Rem Mag.
I found a Savage Arms model 110 in 7mm Rem Mag that a guy wants to sell for $325 he says it is in Brand new shape, and has never been fired. Is this an accurate rifle? What would be a good price on this gun? It does not have the accutrigger, would this stop you from buying it?

Thanx,
Mark

I had one of these. It put 3 rounds into 1" at 200 yards. I stupidly sold it.

Give the guy $325. You'll both be happy. Lack of accutrigger would have no bearing for me.

what do you think about their standard trigger over the accutrigger?

It's not as good as an accutrigger but for $100 you can have an aftermarket.

Buy it! My wife bought a Savage 110 in 7mm Rem Mag years ago - a "Package" gun with a Simmons scope and pre-Accutrigger. It shoots sub-1" groups all day long regardless of bullet weight. The Savage 10/110 series is the best buy in hunting rifles, in my opinion. You won't be disappointed. And even if you are for some reason, you'll have no difficulty getting $325 out of the rifle.

BTW, she also has a 110 in 300 Win Mag with the Accutrigger. It is certainly a great trigger an adjustable but there is no significant difference in the quality of the trigger pull vs. the non-Accutrigger rifle.

can the non accutrigger be adjusted?

Yes the standard trigger can be adjusted slightly. However, there are several aftermarket triggers available as well. They include a Timney for around $85 and the Rifle Basix Sav-2 for about $130.

I had one of those 7mms.Mine shot tiny groups inspite of the gritty trigger. The barrel was really light and overheated quick. It also liked to fail to feed from the mag and fail to pull emptys out easily. It was a basket case that shot real well. I sold it and replaced it with another 110 in 30/06 with the accutrigger. Couldn't be happier Smiler!
