Anyone have one of these lying around so that they can measure the length?

I need the OAL of the bullet to enter into my antiquated "Quickload" bullet file.

It does not have this particular bullet listed.

My Quickload is so old it's on a floppy!

Well, there seems to be a decrepancy here.

On the shootforum link it states 1.1" as the OAL.

That does seem a little short for a 195 gr gr .323 spitzer.

Was it from an actual measurement?

here's what I ahve for the bullets that are listed.
longest/shortest

Nosler 200 gr Accubond= 1.390"
Nosler 180 gr Bal Tip=1.280"
Speer 200 gr Hot Core= 1.260"
Nosler 200 gr Partition= 1.240

Hornady 195 gr Interlock = 1.235" or 1.100"?

I have QL v3.5 with the v3.6 2010 update installed; it lists the .323 caliber 195gr Hornady SP Interlock SKU 3236 as being 1.100” in OAL. Sounds perfectly reasonable as the .323 caliber 150gr Hornady SP Interlock SKU 3232 is listed as being 0.962” in OAL. Both are flat based bullets and appear to be designed to maximize the powder capacity of the 8x57S cartridge.

WJ...dang "on a floppy"... ...might be time to update to the current v3.6 and get all of the current bullets and powder listings! But then I'm a computer junkie.

I used my dial calipers and measured a Hornady 195gr 8mm bullet straight from the box.

Right now I'm so broke I can't afford to pay attention!

I'm down to 8 round loaded W/200 gr partitions & 9 rounds loaded W/180gr Ballistic Tips & I'm out of Vv N550 & can't get anymore locally.

If I had the $50 for the QL upgrade, I'd put it towards bullets & powder.

Our nearly 2 month long deer season starts this Saturday & as a land owner, I have 5 tags to fill.(if I choose to take that many, I probably won't)

I have slew of Sierra 175s & a bunch of IMR 4064, but that combo just doesn't shoot like the 200 gr Partitions W/the Vv N550.





BTW: That load should be labeled as 53.5 gr Vv N550, NOT 63.5 grs!

Well, I trust real time measurments over web site/program data.

I have already entered your data into Quickload & it looks like I can expect about 30 fps more out of the 195 gr Interlock over the 200 gr Partition @ 60K pressure.

W/the slight differance in BC, MPBR @ + or - 3" shoud be about a wash between the 2..
